Florence, a city which grownups call the “capital of the Renaissance”. No, that’s not like a cap that you wear on your head! It is a capital city, just like Washington DC, which is the capital of the U.S. Florence is the capital of the entire region of Tuscany (once it was even the capital city of all of Italy!) The Renaissance was a time when the arts flourished all across the world (you probably remember your art teacher talking and talking some more about it, and I bet you remember everything that she taught you …).
