Tel Aviv is a city of culture and entertainment. It's known as the "City that Never Sleeps." That means that there are activities and restaurants and places of entertainment open all day and all night.
Tel Aviv has the second largest population of all the cities in Israel, and is the most central as far as business and trade go. That's why Tel Aviv has lots and lots of tall buildings all packed together. In addition, Tel Aviv has wonderful beaches and a boardwalk, markets of all kinds, and museums. We can promise you that no matter what you like to do, you'll find it in Tel Aviv!
Did you know that once, when they built Tel Aviv, they arranged a competition to name the new city? Among the suggestions were "Beauty" (good thing it wasn't Sleeping Beauty, because this city NEVER sleeps!), and even "Aviva." Then every girl named Aviva from Tel Aviv would have been able to say: "I'm Aviva from Aviva..."
Tel Aviv has tons of tourists and lots of hotels. If you could count the hotel rooms in Tel Aviv, you'd get close to 6,000!!!
