This is the city where Christians believe that Jesus spent most of his life. It's also where his mother, the holy Virgin Mary, lived. Today, Nazareth is the largest Arab city in the State of Israel. The city is known around the world, and is holy to people everywhere.
What can you see in the city? A whole lot of beautiful places, ancient sites holy to Christians (Mary's well, the Salesian Church of Jesus as an Adolescent, which is one of the biggest and most impressive churches in Israel, and many other things.) Of course there are lots of souvenir stores, markets, and restaurants with great Sephardic food (and who doesn't like a barbecue?).
You'll find it hard to find candy stores like this anywhere else in Israel. If you like Knaffe – orange-colored and sweet, dripping with honey sauce – then bon appetit!
