How You Can Save Cash, and Still Enjoy a Summer Vacation
These days our belts are tighter than ever, and that has nothing to do with the holiday season weight we still haven’t managed to shift! Our budgets are certainly stretched, but if you’re still dreaming of exotic climates and trips to wonderful destinations, the good news is that there are plenty of ways you can do just that, if you budget carefully.
Still not sure? Check out these suggestions, for a little food for thought.
Be Flight Savvy
Your flight is a good place to start when it comes to saving cash. For example, how about flying indirect and cutting the cost from the get go? Do you need a suitcase per person? If not, can you pool and just pay for one suitcase, or indeed, do you need a suitcase at all? If you’re only heading away for a few days, or even a week, pick an airline which gives you a generous hand luggage allowance free of charge.
You don’t have to stay in a 5 star hotel to have a great time! Having said that, you do need a comfortable and central base, so a hotel comparison site is a great place to start. This allows you to find the cheapest deals on top hotels, and this alone could yield major bargains. Booking last minute is also an option for saving cash, as hoteliers would much rather sell off their empty rooms for a lesser price, than have them bringing in no revenue at all. Certainly check this option out for big savings!
Free Child Places
If you book a package holiday, it might be that you can bag a free child place, perfect for families who are looking to save a little extra cash! You’ll probably need to book early for this particular option, but it’s definitely something to look into.
All Inclusive Can Actually Save You Cash
If you baulk at the thought of going all inclusive, maybe you should check it out just once! All inclusive is great for families because the cost of food and drink is included in the price, and that means no need for budgeting. This also means you don’t need to worry about the mounting cost of soft drinks when it’s hot, so you can really relax. All inclusive is certainly not just for families either, this is something everyone can benefit from.
No need for that money tree after all!
