There aren’t many other destinations on the planet which have the same romantic feel as Paris. Known the world over as the destination for romance, Paris is a fantastic place to surprise your significant other with a visit to, or perhaps to jet off for a few days of couple time.
Special occasions deserve special extras, and one of the best ways you can tick the box of practicality and something extra special is by hiring a limo to pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. This isn’t as expensive as you may think, and it really does start your break in the best possible way.
Once you arrive at your hotel and you have settled in, it’s time to head out and explore! There are countless things you can do, see, and experience, so it’s worthwhile doing some research before you venture out, and highlighting the areas you want to concentrate your time. For instance, if you want to go up the Eiffel Tower, it’s always a better idea to book your tickets online ahead of time, to avoid the rather hideous queue at the ticket office. It’s also a good idea to get there as early as possible, to avoid the crowds.
This advice is pretty basic and fits in with most of the attractions in Paris. The Louvre, for example, is always busy, but at the weekends it is jam-packed. Stick to the mid-week days and go early in the morning – this also gives you more time to really explore this amazing and famous museum.
The list of places to visit goes on, including a River Seine cruise, Notre Dame, Champs-Elysees, and these are just three places in a list which continues onwards.
Of course, Paris isn’t only known for its romance, it’s also known for its fashion. If you want to splash the cash whilst you’re there, you won’t struggle to find opportunities to do just that, with some of the biggest names in fashion gracing the streets – think Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel, Gucci, etc. If you want to window shop? Perfectly acceptable, and you’ll find many other people doing exactly the same thing! For us mere mortals, there are High Street shops on offer too, which makes Paris the ideal fashion destination, no matter what your budget.
The fact that many low cost airlines head to Paris throughout the year means that this is a destination which is becoming more and more accessible to all.
